Our Story

Hi, my name is Reet and I’m the co-founder of Nunuberry. I’ve always had an appreciation of all things babies, and it’s always been my dream to run my own baby business. It remained a dream in the back of my mind for years, until I met my husband and we found out we were expecting our first baby.

Like most expectant parents do, I started buying a few bits for the baby as the pregnancy developed. We were looking for a special, sentimental baby blanket that could be treasured. But we just couldn’t find what we really wanted.

After lots of research and meetings, we met with some local ladies in South Africa who crochet for a living. These lovely women made us some samples, and after a few different patterns, we finally got our masterpiece blanket perfectly handmade. Our blankets are made from 100% cotton so it’s perfect for your little babies.

And the best thing about our handmade blankets: they are created by local artisans in South Africa, so this allows us to give back to the community through job creation and supporting families in South Africa, where Nunuberry was created!
